Week 58

Monday, December 4, 2017

OK, so...txeu revelção. Tahts all I can say about this past week. First we had mission council, then mission tour, then that is it, other than the awesome missionary work we did.

First off with Council. It was awesome. There we had Elder Johnson. He is an awesome dude. He talked a lot about the behind the scenes work that we do as missionaries. Like the preparing the investigators, the patience required, working with the members, etc. It was really inspiring actually. Then he pulled some powerful quotes on us. One was, "You aren't cheated out of blessings just because of your calling." Another one was, "Callings are not a shortcut to exaltation." BOOM. I was like man, keep the good quotes coming. Afterwards, Me and Elder Gricius were like just blown out of our shoes. Then, Mission Tour the next day in Sao Vicente. He talked about how we can receive revelation and I literally felt like he was talking to me. It was cool. Then, afterwards. President Amo came to me and said if I would like an interview with him, and I said yes. It was powerful. It was quick but really cool to like talk to a 70. And fun fact, his son was my seminary teacher my last semester of high school. Man, what a fun week.

Tennis is still good as well as family history. Learning how to do indexing on the fly so that;' been fun. But the one thing that I learned this past week was to always be happy, especially during this time of Christmas. It is so easy to get caught up in what we don't have or worrying about things that seem so big but really aren't. So, as my thought for the week, is just to spread Christmas cheer. But people may ask how? well here is the answer. "The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear" If you don't get this quote, I am sorry. But everybody, with this 25 ways in 25 days be a light to the world and always look to give and have the Character of Christ. Love you all and have a good week

Love Elder Nelson.

P.S. My suitcase, one of them anyways, got destroyed! As we were going to the airport to fly to Praia, my suitcase fell from the top of the hiace, cause thats where we always put them, and when we got to the airport, it wasnt there. I was like what the heck. Then, like 5 min later, a pickup truck pulls up and asks if I am missing a suitcase. Claro I said sim so I got it and it was wrecked. Man, it was kinda funny tbh haha
