Week 5

Monday, November 28, 2016

Hey Mom,

How is it going? How is it in PG? How is the snow there? How was Thanksgiving for you all? I hope it was good. I am so happy that I get to have snow before I leave next week. I was so worried that I wouldn't be able to have snow before I left, but I did and I'm super happy. This past week was awwwwwesome! I loved Thanksgiving. It was really weird to be away from home but it was so worth it cause of the service project that we did. We prepared meals for people all over the nation I think. The total was like 359,000 meals. It was really cool. We also had Elder Anderson come for Thanksgiving and it was really cool. He gave a good talk about having gratitude. I am so glad I have had the opportunity to be here. It's been hard but so worth it.

And I guess I should tell you something. I have travel plans. WAHOOOOOOO! The pictures are one of me and the other elder is with Elder Allred. He did track too and he kinda knows people that I know too. It's super cool. Then the one picture with me, smith and the 2 sisters are Cowles and Conrad. I'm next to Sister Conrad and the other one is Cowles.  I hope everything is going well.

It's going to be weird to leave here but I'm ready. Like, idk how to really feel because I want to leave but then I don't want to. But I know the Lord answers our prayers if we are faithful. And speaking of answering our prayers, I was wanting to see somebody from home that I kinda knew and I saw Brother Loosli. It was super cool to see him. He is a worker in the temple.  He's a really cool guy. I know the Lord lives and that we are his children. It's just becoming more and more eveident to me that he loves us so much. And to know that he sent his only begotten Son to earth, to atone for each and every sin that every single person will feel is truly remarkable. I love him and I hope that we can all come unto him. Thank you for raising me in the gospel. Say Hello to the ward for me and tell Naomi's mom that she is lucky for not having to spend 6 weeks here in the MTC. I can't believe I'm saying this but I don't really like the food. I'll eat it, but I don't really like it. But I guess it's better than fish and corn all the time haha. Love you Mom and everybody and have an awesome week!!!!

Love Elder Spencer John Nelson
